By accessing or using Story2Board ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old or have parental consent.
2. Description of Service
Story2Board is an AI-powered storyboard and previsualization platform for developing scripts, shot plans, frames, and creative production materials. Our services include but are not limited to:
- Script-to-storyboard and AI co-director workflows
- AI-generated shot frames, images, and related visual references
- Project, asset, and version management
- Export and read-only sharing features, where available.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You may sign in with an email/password account or with Google Sign-In when that option is available. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- Maintaining control of any Google account or email account you use to sign in
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
When you use Google Sign-In, Google authenticates your Google account and Story2Board uses the verified sign-in result to create or access your Story2Board account. We do not receive your Google password. Our collection and use of Google account information is described in our Privacy Policy.
We may apply reasonable security, abuse-prevention, and eligibility checks to account registration or login. Accounts that violate these Terms or present security risks may be suspended or rejected.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or discriminatory
- Create deepfakes or misleading content intended to deceive others
- Generate content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Create sexually explicit content involving minors
- Harass, bully, or harm other individuals
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or exploit our AI systems
- Use automated systems to abuse the Service
5. Content Guidelines
All content generated using our Service must comply with our Community Guidelines. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines without prior notice.
You are solely responsible for the content you create and share using our Service.
6. Intellectual Property
Your Content: You retain the rights you actually hold in content you upload or create using our Service, subject to the limited license below. Copyright protection and ownership of generated outputs depend on applicable law and human authorship; use remains subject to the model provider's terms and third-party rights. This does not grant ownership of Film Reference Frames or other third-party material incorporated into your content.
Our Service: The Story2Board platform, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.
License Grant: You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit to the provider selected for your request, and display your content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and maintain the Service. We do not use your content to train or fine-tune Story2Board models unless we separately disclose that use and obtain any consent required by law.
6.1 Film Reference Frames
Film stills and screenshots made available through Story2Board's reference library are referred to as "Film Reference Frames" below.
Selected film-reference images may be displayed only to support visual research, shot planning, education, and internal creative development within the Service. Unless separately authorized by the relevant rights holder, you may not publish, advertise with, resell, redistribute, systematically capture, scrape, or use these materials as standalone production assets. Rights in the underlying films and images remain with their respective owners. Story2Board may limit repeated or automated access and may remove or disable references in response to a valid rights request. These restrictions do not grant Story2Board or users rights that we do not otherwise possess.
You may select Film Reference Frames within Story2Board for shot planning and as input references for storyboard image generation. This use does not transfer copyright in the original Film Reference Frames or permit their use in public-facing advertising, resale, or public redistribution. Generated results must respect third-party intellectual property rights.
You must not circumvent access controls or usage limits. This does not restrict ordinary in-product searches or selecting references for storyboard generation.
To report a copyright or other rights concern about a film reference, use Feedback in the Story2Board web app or email support@story2board.com. Include your contact details, the work and rights concerned, the specific reference, page, or project, the basis for your request, and a statement confirming the accuracy of the information you provide.
These frame-specific restrictions do not limit your use of uploads you independently own or original generated content that does not incorporate Film Reference Frames, subject to the other provisions of these Terms. They do not grant rights to third-party material incorporated into your content or generated results.
7. Payment Terms
Story2Board currently offers prepaid credit packs. Credits do not auto-renew and do not expire unless we clearly disclose otherwise at purchase. Refund eligibility for unused credits is described below and does not limit non-waivable consumer rights.
See our Refund Policy for refund eligibility.
You agree to pay the fees for your purchases and provide accurate billing information. If you previously purchased a subscription, its applicable purchase terms continue to govern that subscription, including any cancellation and refund rights. Contact billing@story2board.com for questions about a previous subscription.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STORY2BOARD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL.
Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through:
- Good faith negotiation between the parties
- Mediation if negotiation fails
- Binding arbitration as a last resort
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
